HemiSync
Conceived by Robert Monroe at the Monroe Institute, Hemi-Sync rests on binaural beats: two sounds of slightly different frequencies, presented to each ear, generate the perception of a beat meant to induce a target brain state. Claimed as a tool for the exploration of consciousness rather than as a medical device, it is used above all for well-being, sleep and concentration.
