Founded in 1956 by Alexander Lowen and John Pierrakos in the lineage of Wilhelm Reich, bioenergetic analysis rests on the psychosomatic unity and on the character armor: psychic defenses are inscribed as chronic muscular tensions. Through grounding, it releases energy and expression. Indications: anxiety, depression with a somatic component, psychosomatic disorders and old traumas.
