Behavioral Activation Therapy

A form of behavioral therapy developed in the 1970s to treat depression, it starts from the observation that depressed individuals adopt behaviors that keep them in that state. Through functional analysis, it reduces avoidance and engages the patient in rewarding activities. Its main indication is unipolar major depression.
