Created by Milton Erickson as early as the 1930s, Ericksonian hypnosis rests on utilization (everything the patient brings becomes a resource), trust in the unconscious and indirect suggestion through metaphor. It acts across a broad spectrum: acute and chronic pain, anxiety disorders, psychosomatic disorders, addictions and medical support.
