Brief Systemic Therapy

Born at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, it holds that psychological problems are not isolated but the product of a family or social system. It focuses on the interactions and dynamics of the system rather than on the individual taken in isolation. Its preferred domains are couples therapy, family therapy, and the improvement of communication.
