Autogenic Training

Developed by the neuropsychiatrist Johannes Heinrich Schultz (published in 1932), autogenic training is a psychophysiological relaxation method based on the autogenic shift: the voluntary passage toward a parasympathetic state of relaxation through passive concentration on bodily representations. Indications: anxiety disorders, insomnia, tension headaches and psychosomatic disorders.
